Hi, I'm Marvin - Tech Lead and Backend Engineer specializing in scalable, event-driven systems.​

I've spent the past 7+ years building and leading backend solutions in logistics, e-commerce, and IoT - from hyper-growth startups like Gorillas, to enterprise integrations at REWE digital, to developing an internal parcel locker network for GLS/NXT.
​
I thrive at the intersection of architecture and execution: designing systems from scratch, breaking down complex requirements, and guiding teams from concept to production. Along the way I've introduced company-wide Kafka adoption, built IoT access platforms, authored RFCs, and mentored engineers to grow their craft.

Most recently, I led the GLS/NXT open locker network project, architecting and delivering the MVP to multi-country rollout. The platform now powers parcel delivery efficiency across borders, built on a microservice and event-driven foundation.

Beyond coding, I love shaping technical direction, running workshops, and sharing knowledge. Wether it's exploring new technologies, improving reliability at scale, or debating best practices with peers - I'm passionate about building solutions that last.
